geocat.ch documents geodata, geoservices and models of federal offices, cantons, municipalities, the Principality of Liechtenstein, research institutes, private companies. It allows a quick search for information. The geometadata contained in geocat.ch are also used by other portals, such as map.geo.admin.ch, opendata.swiss or INSPIRE.
