  Theme: These meetings are very important for a community such as GeoNetwork, it provides an opportunity to:

  • Foster exchange between users and contributors
  • Share expectations and use cases
  • Present the current status of the project
  • Explore collaboration and potential co-funding opportunities aligned with user needs

  • Build a strong user community (how to get users more involved in the direction of the project, define a user committee, set up rituals)

  • Current state of GeoNetwork-Projekts (PSC and organisation, Geonetwork 4 status, Highlights of recent features, Datahub and metadata-editor (geonwetwork-ui)
  • Collaborative Roadmap (Ongoing initiative and effort, collect contributions ideas)

  Thème:

  Le 30 novembre 2023, swisstopo, Vlaanderen et le projet GeoNetwork organisent un événement à Bruxelles, en Belgique, pour discuter des développements, des besoins des utilisateurs et de la stratégie autour du projet de catalogue opensource GeoNetwork. Nous vous invitons à vous joindre à la réunion à Bruxelles ou, au cas où vous ne pourriez pas participer en personne, à participer en ligne. Avant la réunion, nous aimerions recevoir vos commentaires sur l'orientation que devrait prendre le projet GeoNetwork. Qu'est-ce qui manque de votre point de vue, quelles sont les exigences de votre organisation ou de vos utilisateurs? Nous résumerons toutes les idées et exigences avant la réunion afin de rendre la journée productive.

  • Exchange between the portal operators (How should the exchange between the portal operators take place so that priorities can be set for further development and a focus can also be set. In addition, an exchange between the portal operators regarding "everyday problems" might be desirable)
  • GeoNetwork development initiatives that require funding (DCAT & GeoDCAT developments, Update ElasticSearch to v8, OGC-API Records & Features, GeoNetwork-UI-datahub, Updating of Libraries, Documentation)
  • Google search (how to do to have a correct indexing of metadata)
