‘Stay safe online and offline’ – Raising awareness at the 2026 BEA spring fair

Bern, 23.04.2026 — The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) will be hosting an interactive exhibition at the BEA spring fair in Bern between 24 April and 3 May to raise public awareness of cybersecurity. Working alongside Swiss Crime Prevention (SCP), the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), Swiss Post, the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (eBanking – but secure! EBAS) and Netpathie, the NCSC will demonstrate the reality of digital threats and how simple measures can provide effective protection.

Many people find cybersecurity abstract, complicated and tedious. At the same time, large numbers of users underestimate the risks involved in their daily digital activities. What happens in the background of devices, apps, and networks remains invisible to many and is therefore difficult to grasp. This is precisely the issue that the NCSC's BEA exhibition addresses, presenting cybersecurity in a way that is accessible, practical and enjoyable. From 24 April to 3 May, visitors will be able to experience for themselves typical online risks such as phishing, insecure passwords and deepfake images and videos at various stations. They will also be able to test their knowledge and talk directly to experts.

Based on the slogan ‘Stay safe online and offline’, visitors can discover more about cyber risks and cybersecurity through hands-on experiments. Experts from the NCSC and its partner organisations – the SCP, EBAS, Swiss Post, the SBB and Netpathie – will also be on hand to answer questions and give individual advice. Those who want to delve deeper into the subject can find out more about the National Cyber Strategy. The interactive exhibition aims to break down barriers and demonstrate that cybersecurity is not just for the experts, but for everyone. Even small, simple measures can significantly improve daily cybersecurity. This is the message at the heart of the exhibition.
